2005 Regal 3060 Express Cruiser for sale

2005 Regal 3060 Express Cruiser boat for sale

‘Merlot III’ is a well appointed example of the popular 2005 Regal 3060 Window Express, a stylish and capable sports cruiser renowned for combining sociable cockpit space with surprisingly generous accommodation below deck. Her sleek profile, characterised by Regal’s distinctive sweeping arch and large “cat eye” side windows, gives the boat a modern and elegant appearance whilst also flooding the cabin with natural light.

Designed with entertaining and comfortable cruising in mind, the innovative cockpit forward seating arrangement keeps guests alongside the helm rather than separated at the stern, creating a far more social atmosphere underway. The spacious cockpit, generous seating and convertible sunpad areas make her equally well suited to relaxed days on the river or extended coastal weekends away. Below, the bright and airy interior offers excellent accommodation for her size, including a large mid cabin double berth, convertible forward dinette, well equipped galley and separate toilet and shower compartment.

Fitted with twin Volvo Penta engines, ‘Merlot’ offers confident handling and easy manoeuvrability whether berthing in a marina or cruising inland waterways. A clean and well presented example throughout, she would make an ideal first sports cruiser or comfortable family boat with the versatility for both river and coastal use.

‘Merlot III’ is also available with her current mooring at Purley Gardens, offering a well established and convenient Thames side setting. The mooring benefits from solar power, direct access onto the River Thames, lifting facilities in winter and notably reasonable annual mooring fees.

LAYOUT

Boarding is via the large bathing platform and starboard transom gate into the spacious cockpit. Across the stern is a pull-out bench seat positioned above the electrically operated engine hatch.

Up one step to starboard is the cockpit sink with storage beneath, whilst further forward lies the helm position with full engine instrumentation and controls. To port is a generous semi-circular seating area surrounding the cockpit table, which lowers to create a sunpad. Access to the bow is via moulded steps beside the helm and through the split windscreen.

Descending three steps into the cabin, the galley is situated to port and fitted with a two burner electric hob, microwave, sink, refrigerator and Corian worktops. Adjacent is a spacious mid cabin double berth with storage lockers and hanging wardrobe, whilst additional storage is provided beneath the companionway steps.

To starboard is a large separate toilet and shower compartment. Forward, the saloon features a generous U shaped seating area with an electrically lowering table converting into a second double berth. Storage is provided beneath the seating, within floor lockers and behind the forward mirror. Large forward windows with blinds create a light and airy feel throughout the cabin, whilst the TV/DVD and stereo system are mounted to starboard.
